What if animals and birds didn't have feathers or fur but instead were covered in flower petals and leaves?

Nature is full of beautiful things. We, as people, are also a part of nature. The best thing that nature has given us is to think so well that we can beat every other living thing on Earth. People can make amazing things from their ideas when they have this incredible skill.

Here, we will talk about the fantastic work of an artist named Josh Dykgraaf, who makes his living as a photographic illustrator.

As we've already talked about, the pandemic lockdown makes most people's hidden artistic skills come out in unique ways with simple things they find nearby. Josh also tried something new while making covid pandemic, which was once just a vague idea in his mind.

Using flower petals and leaves to draw animals and birds was a great idea. I looked for flowers, leaves, and plants that seemed right for the job. Then I took photos of them from different angles and with different backgrounds. "I set up a temporary studio in my kitchen just for this project, Josh says.

Even though the illustrations are pretty cool, the work was pretty hard. It takes 30–60 hours per illustration and 2000–3000 Photoshop layers to get the perfect shape of the creature's body and details like scales or feathers with the captured flower petals and leaves.

Don't you want to know where this unique idea, for one's mind, came from? Josh took pictures in the Swiss Alps for a project when he noticed that a rock formation looked like an elephant's skin. He came up with this crazy idea: what if animals and birds had flower petals and leaves instead of feathers and fur?

He has turned that idea into a series of beautiful pieces he calls "Terraform", and he keeps making more beautiful illustrations.
