Photographer Finally Captures Perfect Shot Of Kingfisher After 6 Years And 720,000 Attempts

Being a wildlife photographer is not easy, as it requires a lot of patience and hard work. Alan McFadyen is living proof of how hard it is to take pictures of wildlife. Since the year 2009, this person has worked in this field. After years of blood, sweat, and tears, he finally got the picture at the right time.

He said it took him 4,200 hours and 720,000 tries to get the perfect picture of a kingfisher diving straight into the water without making a sound.

He would take about 600 photos during each session, but none of them was good enough for him. When he thought back on how many pictures he had to take before getting the right one, he realized how much work he had put into it.

Common kingfishers are easy to spot because of their bright plumage, which is unusual for birds that live in colder places. Most of the time, these birds live near water and catch fish by diving into it. Alan was inspired to take wildlife pictures because his grandfather taught him to love nature and animals.

"I remember my grandfather taking me to view the kingfisher nest, and I was blown away by how lovely the birds were."So, when I started taking pictures, I returned to this same spot to take pictures of the kingfishers," Alan said. The photographer and the bird had to be in the right place to get the perfect picture, with the birds diving straight down and not splashing.

Alan said, "Along the way, I didn't really think about how long it was taking me because I was having fun, but now that I look back, I'm proud of myself." of the picture and the work I did." Alan's grandfather is no longer with him, but he would have been very proud of Alan's work and loved it very much.
