All over the world, there are many different kinds of owls. The most well-known ones are the cute barn owl, the snowy white owl, and the horned owl. Barn owls may be the most common and beautiful type of owl. But the article for today isn't about just any barn owl.

You've probably heard about and seen animals and people with albinism caused by a change in their genes. So their skin is very light because of this. On the other hand, these owls have the opposite mutation, which makes their skin very dark. Because of this, most of these owlets die as chicks at the hands of their mothers.
Even if these black owl chicks make it to adulthood, they are killed by other owls when they are let out.
The black barn owl is rare, and you only have a 1 in 100,000 chance of seeing one. Even less often seen is the fact that owls hunt at night. Only three black owls are known to live in the UK, and Ms Manarin owns one of them.
